Discover Lao Children's Books (English) + 20% off MEFG
Children's books play an important role in cultural representation, exploring generational differences while allowing children with Lao heritage to see themselves and their families in stories. Here's a list of Lao books in English you can share with the little ones in your family:
Mommy Eats Fried Grasshoppers (MEFG)
We're collaborating with Vilayvanh Bender, the first Lao American woman to publish a book in California. Based on Vanh's childhood in Laos, the story follows Mahlee discovering how differently her Mommy grew up. Jasmin, our community assistant got me both versions in a Lao event around her area in the USA!
