" Lao is my mother tongue, but I wasn't able to speak fluently. The group class is a great way to develop communication through basic Lao vocabulary. I really enjoyed the 3 conversational class levels and noticed the progress we made with my classmates. I learned how to read and write in Lao, and now I feel proud of myself. I can finally speak, read almost everything, and I've started writing in Lao. "
" After studying with Lao language schools for a few years in Vientiane, I was finding it hard to find resources and teaching that was suited to my level. Most courses were aimed at beginners or crash courses for people who weren't staying long. I'd followed Lao English School on social media and thought I'd try it out. I found that the lessons were thoughtfully planned to match my level and interests, allowing me to learn vocabulary and explore topics that truly engaged me.
Not only were the lessons enjoyable and beneficial for furthering my language ability, but we also discussed things that deepened my understanding of Lao culture and society. It's been a great experience! "
" When I first started learning Lao at Lao English School, I was nervous. Everything I knew, I acquired through Google Translate or by asking my fiance. I realized I needed a more formal method of learning. From the moment I attended Ginie's class, I knew it was the right choice for me. I immediately began classes with her and felt my grasp of Lao improving significantly. While I still have much to learn, Ginie has helped me tremendously.I find myself enjoying speaking Lao more and more each day. It's gotten to a point where my fiance and I converse in Lao as much as we can, and I learn new words or phrases from her regularly.
Speaking of which, when I first started learning Lao, my partner was just my girlfriend. After months of being together, Ginie showed me the correct way of asking her to marry me in Lao. So this July we made it official.
I plan to continue learning Lao from Ginie and Lao English School, as we have plans to live part-time in Laos starting next year, as well as in Thailand and the US. I am grateful to continue my education with Ginie and the Lao English group. I am very thankful to have found such a great support system for learning Lao. "
